Supplemental Insurance Coverage

WHAT IS A SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE COVERAGE?

A supplemental insurance plan benefit can be many things to many people. In a nutshell, they generally fill in a "gap" in your health insurance coverage. These insurance plans are designed to replace missing income or to help pay for services that are not covered by your insurance or to cover any "deductible" you may have (the gap).

WHAT TYPES OF SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE PLANS ARE THERE?

There are many different types of supplemental insurance plans, from Medicare, which is the most commonly known to Accident, Disability, Cancer, Critical Ilness, etc. Did you know that 1 out of every 2 men AND one out of every 3 women will get cancer in their lifetime?

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH PLAN SUITS MY NEEDS?

Basically, if you may incur medical expenses, accidents or any debilitating illness, you should consider a supplemental insurance plan. For example; if you have health insurance and get cancer, it is estimated that 60% of the expenses are non medical; travel, loss of work, personal items (wigs, dietary supplements), food, living expenses, etc. If you are active, participate in sports or just drive on our highways, an accident plan may work for you. These are things we can discuss and decide what suits your individual needs.
